Recognized Fiber Optic and Aerospace Industry Veteran Joins Sensuron Executive Team

August 13, 2019 – Austin, TX – Sensuron, a global provider of distributed strain and temperature measurement solutions for the aerospace, automotive, medical, energy and civil/mining sectors, announced today that Ken Marchman, former Military and Aerospace Business Development Manager at Timbercon, and Vice President of leading fiber optic manufacturer, Stratos International, has joined the company as Business Development Manager.

Ken brings over 25 years’ technology and industry experience to Sensuron. During his six years at Stratos International, Marchman performed numerous senior management functions and was instrumental in several key milestones, including management of the entire fiber optic business unit and ultimately, facilitation of the company’s successful IPO and subsequent merger. He currently holds a patent in the field of fiber optic connectors.

“Ken brings a wealth of technology experience”, said Pierrick Vulliez, CEO and Managing Partner at Sensuron. “That coupled with his intimate knowledge of the aerospace and defense sector makes him a true asset to our customers and prospects in that industry. We are very happy that he’s joined the Sensuron team.”

“It’s a great opportunity to join forces with a technology disruptor that is replacing bulky and obsolete test and measurement technology with groundbreaking distributed sensing capabilities”, said Ken Marchman. “I look forward to showing our customers how they can capture significantly more accurate data than traditional sensors, with less instrumentation – saving them measurable time and labor costs.”

About Sensuron
Sensuron’s ground-breaking distributed sensing technology provides engineers with a powerful, robust, and easy-to-use tool for structural testing, design optimization, structural health monitoring, thermal mapping and 2D/3D shape sensing. Unlike strain gauges and thermocouples, which only capture data at a discrete point, Sensuron interrogators monitor strain and temperature distributions by transforming an optical fiber into a spatially continuous sensor that performs like thousands of strain gauges or thermocouples installed adjacent to one another. This allows our customers to capture significantly more data than traditional sensors, with less instrumentation – saving them measurable time and labor costs.
